These are the 5 biggest mistakes I see new vegans make:

1. NOT eating enough calories. Plants have less calories so you’ll need to eat more volume or you may put yourself into an accidental calorie restriction.
2. NOT eating enough protein. Yes, plants do have protein, but you need to understand how much you need for your fitness goals and hit that daily target by including high protein plant foods.
3. NOT supplementing B12. Don’t be stubborn, just cover your ass and take the supplement. Your brain & body will thank you.
4. Relying on fake meats. These can be helpful while you transition, but the real benefit of being vegan is the abundance of nutrients found in Whole Foods.
5. Giving up too soon. Depending on how clean your diet was prior to switching, your body may need time to adjust. Once it does, you’ll feel incredible.
