Wise man

A wise man once said “if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything”

& when it comes to your fitness journey this is extremely true.

Whether its peer pressure, your career, social events, travel, you name it – we all have a lot of things trying to DISTRACT us from our health journey.

So how do we block out the noise and make progress regardless?

I’m a firm believer in having standards aka minimum standards of excellence for yourself on a daily and weekly basis. Your standards should align with the habits you are trying to create and be measurable.

Yes, you should set goals for the month and the year… but none of those goals matter or will be hit if you can’t break those goals down into a plan of action for everyday and every week.

This is why I spend so much time developing habits with my clients. Because once the habits are created, it effortlessly pushes them towards their goals.

Standards/habits reduce or completely eliminate the resistance towards creating your dream body‼️

Here are the habits I live by daily, which I call the 5 High-Performance Health Habits ™️ these are also the minimum standards of excellence that I track with my clients weekly. If they go above and beyond, even better.

1️⃣ Drink 1+ gallons of water/day.

2️⃣ Sleep 6-8 hours/night.

3️⃣ Eat 80+% of calories following the macro guidelines or meal plan you are assigned.

4️⃣ Exercise a minimum of 20-30 mins/day. On lifting days, this is easy as the workout alone helps them hit this goal. On rest days, this means some light activity like going on a walk.

5️⃣ Stretch, foam roll, or massage gun for 5-10 mins/day. Doesn’t need to be a huge time commitment but it’s an investment in your overall health. Recovery is one of the most underrated variables👊🏻
